Founded in 2023 by Chris (James) Butterworth, Christopher James Automotive boasts a rich history of automotive experience surrounded by iconic brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, and Lotus, among others.
From a childhood surrounded by the hum of engines and the allure of motorcars, Chris' journey into the world of all things automotive began. Raised in a family deeply entrenched in Formula 1 and Formula 2, he developed an early passion for motorsport that has grown into a love for performance cars. This love now manifests in the meticulous selection of vehicles we offer.
As a small independent dealer, we pride ourselves on being a family-run business led by enthusiasts, not typical salespeople! Chris brings a no-nonsense approach to the automotive sales game, along with a wealth of knowledge derived from both a mechanical/workshop background beginning in 1997, followed by over two decades of sales and sourcing expertise. Using this unique dual perspective allows him an understanding of every aspect of a vehicle, while he personally handpicks each one based on their individual merits. So whether its for our own stock or sourced specifically for a client, you can be sure every car meets the highest standards of performance and quality.
